MY WEIGHT GAIN STORY

                                           NOW                                       BEFORE

So, I know it's been about a month since I last posted but let's just say I had a bit of a bumpy start to my so called weight loss journey it hasn't really happened yet, I'll have one good day, two bad days so on, but I'm trying so at least that's something and exercising which is a start for the most laziest person known to mankind i.e me.

But today I thought I'd share my Weight Gain with you all, in the past eighteen months I've gained around 40+ pounds which I know to some people might not seem a lot but to me it's more than enough and I can't bare the thought of gaining another ten pounds, especially on my frame as I'm so short at 5'2".

As you can see from the photo's above I carry a lot of my weight on my face, chest and arms, which are the areas I hate the most.  Even when I was at my skinniest my thighs still touched and a had a little bit of a tummy so I don't really mind these areas as they've changed the least. At my smallest I was a size four and at my largest which is now I'm a size ten pushing an in denial twelve.  I'd ideally like to get back to a size six to eight as I have some gorgeous clothes just sat gathering dust that I can no longer fit into.

I think my weight gain is mostly down to the lack of taking care of myself as for the past two years I've been studying part-time whilst working full-time in retail where the hours are not so forgiving and I've also been working with my dad helping him carry out building survey's a few times a month.   I now work a nice 8-5 pm job in what I'm studying to be and have day release for university so I now have my weekends back - yayyyy.   So before I was just grabbing the most convenient food possible which is normally the most unhealthiest.  Also during this time I moved into my boyfriend's house and would eat the same sized food portions as him and he likes to have crisps and sweets, cheese in the cupboards, which at my mums we would never have so I've found myself reaching for the most unhealthiest of snacks.

But I'm slowly getting there.  I'm snacking a little less and swapping my foods to healthier options, so hopefully it will all start to fall into place soon and the numbers on the scales will start to go down.

PS check out my hot mum serious body goals

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN ????

I think we've all been there, when you gain a few extra pounds and before you know it it's turned into an extra forty, that is definitely what has happened to me in the past year and a half, but I've decided enough is enough, I'm sick of feeling sorry for myself and saying I'll start my diet tomorrow, so I came up with the genius idea to start a weight loss diary on my very old and forgotten about blog.

This will be like my own version of slimming world where I weigh in every other week or so.  I know no-one is probably gonna read this but it's the thought of maybe just one person reading it that will hopefully keep me on track or not wanting to fail as someone maybe watching.

Hopefully when I next post I'll have lost a few pounds.

REVIEW : NARS PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURIZER

Hello, it's been a while since I last blogged but life just gets in the way sometimes.  Anyway today I thought I'd share the love of a certain NARS pure radiant tinted moisturizer.  Couple of months ago I was in the market for a new tinted moisturizer, I was debating between NARS or Estee Lauder's new double wear all day glow BB cream,  It was a hard decision as both have SPF30 and are priced very similar.  In the end I went with NARS as I'd never tried any of their products before.

The first thing I noticed when using the product was the smell.  It smelt divine.  The fragrance is 100% naturally Peony, Violet and Rose water.  It is heavily scented when applying but the scent soon goes once on the skin.

I think this would be a great starting product if you're switching from foundation to tinted moisturizer as the coverage is a lot fuller than any other tinted moisturizer I've used in the past. The formula is oil-free but still manages to hydrate the skin which leaves the skin looking fresh and dewy all day long.

I've been wearing it in Alaska which is the second lightest shade.  There are five shades to choose from.  When wearing it I still apply moisturizer before applying as I have extremely dry skin but on normal skin I reckon you'd be fine without any extra moisturizer as the product is hydrating enough.

I absolutely adore this product.  It gives the fresh and dewy finish that I love so much, but it’s not heavy or greasy.  It's all round a brilliant product, I will differently be repurchasing when mine runs out

I'd love to know if you've tried this product?

REVIEW : THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E OVERNIGHT SERUM-IN-OIL

Hello, it's been a little while since I last blogged.  To get the ball rolling again I thought I'd start with a product review on The Body Shop's overnight serum-in-oil.

The Body Shop say, "Wake up to beautiful skin with new Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, a technical innovation combining the power of a serum and oil to indulge, replenish and recharge skin with moisture overnight"

You know with this product being by The Body Shop all the ingredients come from Fair Trade farmers as that is part of their ethos. The oil is made up of a blend of natural oils such as Wheat-germ, Sunflower, Jojoba, Marula, Sesame and Soya oils.

I've always been a lover of serum and oil's, it's where I spend most of my time and money deciphering which one will suit my skin best.  Because of this love for skincare, I've tried a lot of serums and oils.  I tend to layer the two products together normally as I have extremely dry skin

I found this oil to be super lightweight.  It easily absorbs into my skin.  Because it doesn't sit on top of my skin I applied my evening moisturiser over the top of the oil, I found in the morning that my skin was replenished and soft to touch and it was looking a lot more healthier and plumper.

I haven't got a bad thing to say about this product, I really want to try more products from the Vitamin E range. I'd love to know if you've tried this product or any of the other products from the range

TODAY'S FACE...#1

Hello, today I decided to do a "face of the day" post with the make-up I've been reaching for in the past couple of weeks. p.s I did try really hard (sort off ) to take a selfie so you could see how my face looked with the make-up on, but in every photo I felt I looked like a fool/idiot. I'm really not a selfie kind of girl. I hope you can forgive me and just enjoy the photo's of the products/blog post.

For my base I've been using Benefit's You Rebel.  I've owned it for a good month now but I still can''t decided whether I like it or not.  It has a very funny texture and you have to work really hard to blend it.  If not it can look a bit like false tan where it's stated to strike.  Once blended in, it leaves a lovely light finish to the skin.  When applying I either us a brush or my hands but today I decided to us the expert face brush by Real Techniques.

For the cheeks I've been loving No7's blush in Coral Flush, which is a deep coral with the tiniest amount of shimmer to it, but I've been adding to that shimmer by using Soap and Glory's glow all out luminizing face powder on the top's of my cheekbones and under my eyes. On my lips I've got on Revlon's Lip Butter in pink truffle, I find this shade to not be too dissimilar to my natural lip colour.

Now for the eyes. This is where things have had a little change recently it's nothing big just gone from using black mascara and eye-liner to using brown. This happened when I accidently bought brown mascara instead of black. I was really annoyed when I realised what I'd done.  You just automatically assume all mascara's are black, but now I absolutely love using brown mascara it gives a more natural look, so recently I wanted to try a brown eye-liner. I could only really find pencil's in brown and I don't ever use pencil eye-liner and only the high ended brands seem to do brown gel liners and I wasn't going to waste my money on something I wasn't too sure about. I then stumbled across Collection's brown liquid liner. I did't use the brush it came with, I've been dipping my Bare Minerals eye-liner brush into the bottle as it just about fits. I forgot how much I really like this eye-liner. I used to use it in black for years before I discovered gel.

I love the look this make-up gives for an everyday look, I'd love to know what some of your everyday products are.

JOVONNA COMBO

Jacket&Skirt : Jovonna London | Top : H&M Mens | Shoes : Vintage | Bag : Vintage

Hello, Happy mother’s Day to all the Mummy’s out there! Today I thought I’d do my first ever outfit post I've been putting this off for ages as I feel a bit silly having my photo taken, I never know how to pose.

I’d been after a matching combo for quite some time but couldn't seem to find one that didn't make me look like part of the clueless cast or cost an absolute fortune . After some internet searching I stumbled across this little number by Jovonna London. I bought mine on the Topshop website as I could us my student discount there, I know that Topshop only stock it in the red but I know it also comes in blue.

I've  had My Jovanna London matching combo for a couple of weeks now an I absolutely love it, whether as together or as separate pieces , I found I've been wearing the bomber jacket quite a lot with just jeans and a T-shirt as it just adds a bit of something to an otherwise basic outfit.

I'd love to know what you think of this outfit.

BENEFIT "WATT'S UP" REVIEW

I'd been eyeing up Benefits "watt's up highlighter" for quiet sometime but couldn't justify paying the very steep price of £24.50 for a highlighter.  But I have no will power so inevitably I caved in and bought myself one, but boy I'm I glad I did!

Watt's up is a delicate champagne soft focus cream highlighter
The warm champagne colour works really well for my skin tone it just melts into the skin, I think it would suit an array of skin tones.

The fact that the product has a cream to powder formulation it makes it super easy to blend into the skin.
It definitely lives up to it's soft focus claims as it has no chunky glitter particles (most highlighters do) so you won't end up looking like a glitter ball.  It just leaves a nice natural shimmer that gives the skin a radiant glow.

I've had Watt's up for quite a while now and use it almost everyday.  I would definitely recommend it.

I'd love to know what you think of Watt's Up
